Cerebro-Vascular Surgery
The Neurosurgery Department has the largest experience in cerebrovascular surgery in the country with excellent results receives patients with brain haemorrhage from cerebral aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations from all over the country and abroad. He has been a pioneer in successfully operating giant aneurysms under Cardio-Pulmonary bypass and arteriovenous malformations of the brain and spinal cord.
Brain Tumours
The Department has a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient service available for the routine and complex brain tumours and related disorders for patients of all age groups. A large number of both malignant and benign brain tumours are being operated here with excellent results.
Pediatric Neurosurgery
Children with brain and spinal cord disorders such as spin-bifida, hydrocephalus, brain tumours and infection etc are regularly managed here.
Skull Base Surgery
Tumours of the skull base have long been a surgical challenge for their strategic location and proximity to vital structures. Appropriate surgical treatment is provided here through the combined efforts of neurosurgeons, neuro-radiologists, facio maxillary surgeons and ophthalmic surgeons along with medical and radiation oncologists.
Functional Neurosurgery
Patients with Trigeminal Neuralgia, and Glossopharyngeal neuralgia and Hemi facial spasms are routinely managed by Micro Vascular Decompression with excellent results. Deep brain stimulation is also performed.
