The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research [DSIR], India has recognised Sri Ramachandra University as Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation [SIRO] and the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India has provided Customs/Central Excise Duty Exemption registration to Sri Ramachandra University.
While 21 sponsored research projects with a grant release of Rs.10.71 crores have been sanctioned to the University by various funding agencies during 2007, 15 major research centres/projects are under active consideration for funding by ICMR, DST, AYUSH and DBT.
