Undergraduate (Hons) Programs:

B.Sc (Hons) program include 3 years course work and 1 year compulsory stipendiary internship in a semester pattern. During the first two semesters of the course program, the students gain knowledge in various basic medical science subjects.

The candidate undergoes extensive training from III to VI Semesters under the supervision of senior consultants.

During the internship period [VII & VIII semester] students are trained to evaluate patients, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans. They also undergo a small project work and submit it for evaluation.


Program Name : B.Sc. [Hons] Allied Health Sciences
Duration           : 4 yrs 
Eligibility           : HSC / CBSE or Equivalent Examination with one of the following 
                subject combination.
                                        - Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics
                                        - Physics, Chemistry Botany and Zoology.

After completion of B.Sc. [Hons] Allied Health Sciences  2nd semester the successful candidates select the branch of specialization by counseling in merit basis and availability of vacancies.

                Zoology/ Agriculture / B. Tech. (Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering)/ 
                degree of any University recognized as equivalent there to and 
                recognized by the UGC in regular mode with a minimum of 55% marks. 
                For SC/ST/OBC category, minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is 
                essential. 


Integrated Courses:

Program Name : M.Sc. Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology
Duration           : 5 yrs
Pattern          : Semester 
Eligibility           : HSC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent examination with one of the following subject 
                combinations: 
                                         i) Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (or) 
                                         ii) Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

Ph.D Programs: 

Part time    : Duration 4 years 
Full time  : Duration 3 years

Achievements: 

The Government of Tamil Nadu has recognized B.Sc., (Allied Health Sciences ) course as a degree course on par with any other B.Sc., Degrees. G.O.NO:-Ms.291, dated 14.12.1998.
 
The qualification of Perfusion Technology graduates has been accepted by Indian Society of Extra corporeal technology and these graduates are eligible to become associated members of the society.

International Education Research Foundation. I.N.C. USA has considered the B.Sc., Allied Health Sciences (Cardiac Technology) equivalent to B.Sc., in cardio vascular technology offered by the Universities in the USA.

International Education Research Foundation I.N.C. USA has considered the B.Sc., Allied Health Sciences (Operation Theatre Technology) equivalent to B.Sc., in Operation Theatre Technology offered by the Universities in the USA.

The National Academic Recognition Information Centre for the United Kingdom [UKNARIC] has recognized BSc (Allied Health Sciences), which is comparable to British Bachelor Degree standard.

The New Zealand University has recognized BSc (Allied Health Sciences) Anaesthesia technology which is Equivalent to Bachelor Degree from New Zealand University.
 
Association of Indian University have accepted the degree B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences awarded by our University
