Sri Ramachandra University was accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore as A grade with CGPA of 3.52 on a 4 point scale for a period of five years (2009-2013). SRU took a giant leap towards quality sustenance by establishing the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in the year 2009. The objective of IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and continuous improvement measures for the University. The overall quality initiatives of the University are facilitated by IQAC. IQAC periodically conducts national/ state level seminars and workshops for faculty development and research promotion. It also works with NAAC cell of the university in collecting, compiling, analyzing data and instituting corrective measures periodically. The IQAC derives its strength from the academic experts and administrators of the university.
The members of IQAC attend national level conferences on quality initiatives and present papers to share and update their knowledge. IQAC also annually publishes the Annual Quality Assurance Report in the NAAC format. The Academic and Administrative Audit organized by IQAC, in February 2013 was a very important milestone.
