SRU-ICMR Centre for Climate for Advanced Research on Air Quality, Climate and Health was Inaugurated

2015

Sri Ramachandra University ranked 41-A among universities by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).

Google Maps ranking – Top 10 Medical Colleges in India

National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) reaccredited Sri Ramachandra University.

Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) reaccredited the Biodosimetry Lab.

Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre was the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) accredited only Hospital based Blood Bank.

B.Sc. (Clinical Nutrition) and BBA (Hospital & Health Systems Management) were started.

Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)was introduced for UG & PG courses (Non statutory council programs)

Founder Chancellor Endowment orations were created for all 9 Faculties

Founder Chancellor Merit-Cum-Means scholarships was introduced for UG students.

CEFT gets GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) certification, the first in India and South East Asia for a teaching institution.

2014

M.Sc. (Clinical Embryology) and M.Sc. (Industrial Hygiene & Safety) (Part time) courses were started

National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) reaccredited (Cycle 2) University with ‘ A’ Grade with CGPA 3.62 on a 4 point scale.

Joint Commission Internationals (JCI), USA reaccredited the Hospital, the first teaching hospital in India to obtain such accreditation from JCI.

Sri Ramachandra Arthroscopy and Sports Sciences Centre (SRASSC) was inaugurated

National Service Scheme (NSS) was Inaugurated.

2013

D.M. (Neonatology), D.M. (Neuro Radiology), M.Ch. (Vascular Surgery), M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) (6 years), M.D. (Emergency Medicine), M.Sc. (Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology) (5 year Integrated) and M.Sc. (Emergency & Critical Care Technology) courses were started.

2012

B.Sc Sports & Exercise Sciences,D.M. (Critical Care Medicine),D.M. (Reproductive Medicine), M.Pharm(Pharmacology) and M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical Analysis)courses were started.

2011

MD (Forensic Medicine) course was started.

Increase of seats for various medical postgraduates degree courses (2011-12) by MCI

Increase of seats from 150 to 250 for MBBS degree course (2011-12) by MCI.

SRU Summer Research Fellowoships for UG students were instituted

2010

Silver Jubilee Celebrations of SRMC & RI

Medical Council of India (MCI) upgraded Sri Ramachandra University as a Nodal Centre.2011 for Faculty Development Program

2009

Joint Commission Internationals (JCI), USA accredited the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre the first teaching hospital in India to obtain such accreditation from JCI.

Recognition of the department of environmental Health Engineering as an ICMR center for advanced research on environmental Health- Air pollution.

M.D (T.B & Pulmonary Medicine), M.D. (Sports Medicine), M. D. (Immuno Hematology & Blood Transfusion Medicine), diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Disease (D.T.C.D).

National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accredited University A grade with CGPA of 3. 52 on a 4 point scale.

ISO 9001: 2000 certification for the M.Sc. Bioinformatics program

2008

M.D. Family Health, Pharm. D. (Doctor of Pharmacy) Degree Course, Pharm.D. (Post Baccalaureate) Doctor of Pharmacy Degree Course, Fellowship Programme in Otology, Postgraduate Certificate Course in Endoscopic Rhinology & Postgraduate Diploma course in Medical Secretarial Science.

2007

Fellowship and Masters courses were started: Fellowship Programme in Neonatology, M.Sc. Medicinal Chemistry, M.Sc. Clinical Nutrition

B.Sc. Biomedical Sciences and B.Sc. Optometry

Under Distance Education: Postgraduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine; Postgraduate Diploma in Maternal and Child Health were started.

Sri Ramachandra University Central Research Facility was established.

Sri Ramachandra University became a "MRCP Part 2 Clinical Examination Centre" for the MRCP qualification of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, Royal College of Physicians of London.

The WHO designated Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Occupational Health.

Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) accredited the Biodosimetry lab of the Department of uman Genetics for assessment of personnel radiation exposure and related studies.

Approval of the Distance Education Council (IGNOU) was obtained for Sri Ramachandra Centre for Distance Education

The tenth anniversary of collaborative programme with Harvard Medical international was celebrated during July.

2006

Change of name/nomenclature of "Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute (Deemed University)" as "SRI RAMACHANDRA UNIVERSITY" with effect from 04.12.2006 in accordance with the UGC Notification No.F.6-(ll)/2006 (CPP-l) dated 13.09.2006. However, the name of the constituent Medical College continues to be "Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute"

40,000 square feet centrally air-conditioned University library known as Harvard Ramachandra Learning Centre was inaugurated; Ph.D. Programme started
