When the kidneys stop working, the condition is referred to as ESRD("end-stage renal disease"). Toxic waste products accumulate in the body and either dialysis or a kidney transplant is required to sustain life.
The most common causes of kidney failure include:Renal replacement therapy (RRT) can be divided into dialysis (Hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis) and renal transplant. Although hemodialysis has improved the quality of life of ESRD patients but kidney transplant is a much better option for patients.
