Farewell to MBBS interns – 3rd March 2021

As is customary in SRMC, the student council and the junior medical students gave a warm farewell to the outgoing batch of interns. The event began with all the interns gathering for a group photo, with their beloved deans and Vice Chancellor Sir.
After the group photo, they relived their class room experience, by clicking photos in the lecture hall and bringing forth nostalgic memories.
The main event was organized in the university side auditorium on March 3rd, 2021
The event began with a prayer song, sung by MBBS student Sanjana, invoking the Almighty’s blessings, followed by a graceful prayer dance by students of AHS course.

Dignitaries present amongst the audience were, Dr Leena Dennis Joseph, Associate Dean of Students, Dr Manikandan and Dr Chandru, Assistant Deans and Dr Pavithra, Vice President of the Alumni Cell of SRIHER. Dr. Rajesh, CRRI in-charge was also present for the occasion.

A heartwarming welcome address was delivered by Dr Leena Joseph, Associate Dean of students and she shared her experiences with the batch. Dr. Pavithra emphasized the role of the Alumni association of SRIHER and encouraged all of them to stay connected with SRIHER. This was followed by an engaging audience interaction hosted by Arjun Senthil and Shivaraman Akshara of 2nd yr MBBS.
A musical performance with songs from 2015-16 struck a chord with the audience as they hummed to the rhythm of the nostalgic tunes.

This was followed by an ode to the bygone college days in the form of a poem crafted by Rida Hussain Thavalam of 2nd year. The audience was found shaking to the beat of a captivating dance performance that came next. img5

The entertaining mock awards were the icing on the delicious cake was the sweetest ending to this memorable evening.

Overall, the interns loved the event and enjoyed the snacks, before they got together to click lots of pictures with their friends.
