REPORT ON NATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2020 CELEBRATED BY FACULTY OF ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES

Faculty of Allied Health Sciences commemorated the National Youth Day 2020 under the theme “Channelizing Youth Power for Nation Building“. The celebrations had multiple contests for the students to instill the spirit of nationalism and power of youth in making a change. These include photography (Theme – My country My responsibility”, Poster making (Addiction), Slogan writing (patriotism) and debate. Enthusiasm of the students was evident in the number of students participated in each even and their creativity. These events were conducted over the week and the final day of celebrations on the 15th of February, culminated with a scintillating debate on the topic Abdul Kalam’s Vision – achieved or yet to be, moderated and judged lively by Prof.Rajendiran. Icing on the entire celebrations was the soul touching discourse by the chief guest Mr. S. Ram Kumar, Director, Pragya Consultancy, who highlighted the valor of the great sons and daughters of Mother India from the history to the current day youth in developing instruments for the defence. His deliberation touched the heart of everyone in the hall evident with the national fervor during the rendition of the national anthem. Students also took the youth day oath with Ms.Shalini of BOT and Ms.Shalini of M.Sc. MBLS taking the lead.

The program was inaugurated by Dr.K.V.Somasundram, Academic Advisor, in the presence of Dr.S.Senthil Kumar, Principal, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Narasimhman Swaminathan, Vice-Principal. Entire program was well coordinated by the faculty of AHS with Dr.Mathangi, Head of the department of Mind Body and Lifestyle sciences as the organizing secretary.
