Sheikh Trophy Cricket Tournament 2019

22^nd March, 2019 saw the inauguration of the 10^th edition of Sheikh Trophy Cricket Tournament, which is an integral part of the college events list.
Sheikh trophy for the year 2019-20, is organized by the MBBS batch of 2016-17 ‘The Salvador’s’.
The event saw a grand opening ceremony with Mr. Shrikar Bharat, a young Indian cricketer, who is currently playing for India A cricket team gracing the event as chief guest.
He was joined by the father of Mr.Sheikh, Mr Farooq who has continuously supported the tournament. Along with the two guests of honours, various heads of respective colleges and Deans also attended the inaugural ceremony.
The students of the organizing batch along with the players of the various participating teams, were also present during the ceremony, which goes on to show the enthusiasm the students exhibit to make any event held in SRIHER, a great success.
As was told by the chief guest and the Dean of Medical College, during their opening speeches, it is the sportsman’s spirit that matters’, supporting this is paramount.
This year, we will be conducting 18 matches along with a semi finals and finals. Each match will end with the best player receiving the Man of the Match award along with certificates. The final grand trophy will be handed out along with the Man of the series.
The chief guest and guests of honor declared the tournament open and the chief guest bowled the first ball of the tournament.
