SRMC OPTIMUS 19

SRMC OPTIMUS 19, A national undergraduate conference was held at SRIHER from 4^th July to 6^th of July,2019. The chief guest Shri T.K Rajendran IPS,Retired Director General of Police inaugurated the conference. The conference hosted 650 delegates from across the country and had 15 exciting workshops and 7 fun events. The workshops ranged from first year subjects to final year subjects and gave all the students an opportunity to expand their knowledge.Skill acquitition on subjects like BLS,Surgical skills,Scientific paper writing ,OBG ,Dermatology were the highlights .The guest lecture was taken by Dr Chandramohan,an eminent surgical gastroenterologist,who motivated the students by his powerful speech. Dr Mark from Kent University spoke on international reviewer perspective and Dr Simi Kaul from BMJ added her insights into scientific paper writing.Dr Mark Krumm shared his expertise on EBSCO-Evidence based medicine tools,in a workshop,which was very well appreciated by the participants.

Added charms were events like student faculty debate on important and burning issues like organ transplantation.The various student committees, got together and brought out the best of OPTIMUS.This conference was very well appreciated by all the delegates, as was expressed in the feedbacks obtained.

Overall, the conference was a learning experience for everyone and it was a success.
