SRMC OPTIMUS’18

The Annual National Undergraduate Medical Conference OPTMUS -18 was held from the 30th July to 1st August 2018. The conference was attended by over 750 students from all over the country. Around 45 colleges from 15 states took part. OPTIMUS had a plethora of workshops, events and scientific sessions on all the three days keeping the crowd entertained, enlightened and energised.

OPTIMUS was Inaugurated on 30th July by the Director of Medical Education of Tamil Nadu, Dr. Edwin Joe. He blessed the occasion with his inspiring words and released the Conference Proceedings.

The teleconference with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, U.K. gave an insight to the delegates about further studies, life and medical practice in the UK.

OPTIMUS had over 15 workshops, 10 events and case and research presentations which left the delegates hungry for more of such events.

Rev. Fr. Jegath Gaspar Raj gave a motivational speech which was at once inspiring and through provoking. He also released the Conference magazine- Iridescence.
