VIDYA SUDHA - PURPOSE
 

Early Childhood Special Education

Teach infants and very young children specific skills such as how to eat, how to walk, how to talk and how to play successfully with children. Lessen the impact of conditions that may worsen or become more severe without timely and adequate treatment. Provide specialized therapies for speech, language and motor development. Prevent children from developing other secondary disabling conditions. Prepare children as early as possible with meaningful experiences with peers. Teach children who exhibit troublesome behaviors that interfere with schooling more adaptive behaviors. Provide children with pre-academic skills necessary for further learning. These goals will not be achieved with out consistent family participation and professional collaboration.
