Blood Donation Camp

The MedHOPE Foundation & Department of Paediatrics with Division of Paediatric Haemato Oncology, SRIHER organized a blood donation camp on 6^th June 2019 , co-ordinated by the MedHOPE volunteers of 3^rd year MBBS headed by Prof. Julius Scott, for the welfare of Onco-Paediatric patients. A team of 8 doctors from the Department of Transfusion Medicine with their Staff Nurses joined hands along and helped with the smooth conduction of camp, assisting every step of blood donation. The camp had a good number of kind hearted volunteers willingly walking in to donate blood. 117 bags of blood were collected among the 180 people who came. A fact to be noted is that, the majority were youngsters from SRIHER and other colleges amongst the people who walked in, rest being staffs and general public. After the blood donation, the volunteers were given a certificate of appreciation by the Dept. of Transfusion Medicine for their Noble deed. With an air filled with happiness and satisfaction, the event ended on a successful note.
