First Year Orientation 2019 (2/8/2019)

On 02^nd August 2019, fresh happy faces were seen entering the campus heading towards the Main Auditorium to attend the Undergraduate orientation programme for MBBS and BDS. The morning session started on an auspicious note by seeking the blessings of the Almighty in the form of a devotional prayer song followed by the SRIHER anthem. Our honourable Chancellor,Shri VR Venkataachalam graced the occasion and his presence was a great motivation to the students .

The programme was hosted by the student council members and Shree Krishnamoorthy, Final year MBBS, president of Student Council was the Master of Ceremonies for the programme. Welcome address for the gathering was given by Dr. Uma Sekar, Associate Dean(Medical College), SRIHER, creating a charged up atmosphere and encouraging the students. Following this was a talk by our respected Vice Chancellor, Dr. P.V. Vijayaraghavan, who generated positive thoughts among the students.

Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute has seen many phases of growth and development from its time of establishment which was shared to the students and parents by the Dean of Medical College, Dr. S Anandan. A bird’s eye view on Sri Ramachandra Dental College was given by the Dean Dental College Dr. C Ravindran .

The vote of thanks was delivered by the ever friendly and most approachable respected Dean of Students, SRIHER, Dr.K Balaji Singh.

The students and parents were entertained by a special programme conducted by the student council of SRIHER.
Aditya Arumugam, BDS Intern and Vice President of Student Council was the master of ceremonies for the programme. The special programme kick started with a classical song sung by students of II MBBS, Vaishnavi Reddy, Ishwarya C, Mridula Vijaykumar, Vignesh Ananthakrishnan and Nitya Rajaraman.

A welcome dance called Pushpanjali was performed by the dance team from II MBBS, Salikaa Lakshmanan, Keerthana A.M, Vaishnavi Menon and Anu Sigappi followed by a graceful performance on swagatham Krishna.
The students of III MBBS , Gokul Prasanth, Harini Srinivasan, Soumya Shukla, Mounipriya, Veda Munangi, Dasarath Rami Reddy Byllupalla, Chithrita Behera and Tanmay Gupta, gave an informative glimpse on the rules and regulations of the college in the form of a role play.

Ms. Abia Afroze, final year MBBS , member of Student Council, gave a talk on ‘Who is Who in SRIHER ’ for the newly joined MBBS audience.

Finally, the programme concluded with a video presentation on ‘ Life of a student at SRIHER’.
