    The Dept of Oral Pathology, Sri Ramachandra Dental College & Hospital hosted the India CAN Torch event on 29 June 2024 under the aegis of the Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists and Mandala USA. To mark, the occasion, Cancer awareness activities including Oral Cancer Screening at the rural centre - Vayalanallur, Antitobacco, and Oral cancer awareness educational skit was performed by the Undergraduate students in the Dental college Lobby and Medical Centre for the benefit of patients and the general public.

    Department of General Medicine, SRIHER, organised an awareness program on 30th April, 2024, to commemorate 'World Immunization Week'. It was conducted in G block Medicine OP area where the gathered patients were educated on the importance of adult vaccination. The information was communicated to the public through role play and doubt clearing session, where myths on adult vaccination were cleared by the Medicine Unit 2 doctors.

    TF, funds comprehensive Cleft lip and palate rehabilitation and was co-founded in 1998 by Jacquline Elton. Registrar Prof Roopa madam was instrumental in our MoU and since our MoU in 2005, team from Dental College and Faculty of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology have been rendering services to the cleft patients from the adopted three districts across Tamil Nadu namely Thiruvannamalai, Cuddalore and Kanchipuram. Jackie Elton, along with Neeti Daftari (Program Manager, Global Initiatives), paid a visit to SRIHER on 31.01.2024. The TF team was impressed with the progress of the project and the commitment of the SRIHER team.

The new council members (BDS Interns - Gokul K, Shanmathi S, Adil Mohamed, Mani Bharathi, Divyashree, Amirtha Sridharan, Sanjesh Manivel , Janani P, Vikram S) were sworn in by the Dean Dr. H.Thamizhchelvan. The former student council members were appreciated and they shared their experiences. The program was a grand show not only filled with fun but also inculcating responsibilities to the students.
