During my stint at Sri Ramachandra Medical College I got to learn and work alongside some of the brightest students, professors and doctors. That exposure along with access to the best in-class infrastructure and facilities that SRMC has to offer gave me the confidence and necessary skills to pursue my entrepreneurial journey. In my past 8 years as an entrepreneur I have witnessed many of my fellow SRMC alumni take up key roles across the healthcare space continuum across the country and that speak volumes of the kind of exposure this great institution has given us. I am extremely privileged to be alumni of this wonderful institution.

It was indeed an enthralling experience as a student of Sri Ramachandra Medical College. I should say that my dreams of becoming an entrepreneur were sowed during those days. The faculty are unique in the sense that they chisel out the best in the students without the students realizing that they are getting future ready. As an alumni of SRMC is not just thankful for their technical know- how that they’ve learnt, but also for the core values and the right attitude that spontaneously comes with their sheer presence in SRMC campus. It is a blessing for the students to access the dearth of knowledge and academic information which is indeed a privilege even today.

Caremotto is India’s first dedicated portal that helps patients find the right specialists for their treatment, at state of the art hospitals, for a price that fits their budget. It was founded in April 2016 by Dr.Niranjan Ravuri & Dr.Niveditha. During their time at Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute, Chennai, the founders were encouraged to adopt an entrepreneurial approach to all aspects of problem solving & were inspired to apply this skill towards solving the problem of affordability & access to high quality healthcare across all segments of the population.

As a medical student when I entered Sri Ramachandra University, I was not only imparted with the regular medical curriculum and compassion as in any other medical school but with a level of class and sophistication not seen in any medical schools at that time. This kindled the entrepreneurial mind-set in me and that made me ponder on how to bring the expensive cosmetology treatments to the masses at an affordable price. This is the basis on which I started my entrepreneurial journey and now we are 3 years old and present at 2 locations in Chennai.

Looking back, Sri Ramachandra Medical College is where I was most influenced in my life so far. Its nurturing and educating environment is the real deal for any medical entrepreneur. It has not only helped me become a good practitioner but also helped shape me into a better human being.

Sri Ramachandra University, unsure yet excited about a big leap into the real world. I was entering college, the part of my life that would shape and define who I am as a person and what more than SRMC could I have asked for to build that personality in me. Today I am an entrepreneur heading Rajalakshmi educational institutions and have founded Sentinel Radiology, a tele-medicine start-up thanks to the life skills that I have learnt from SRMC.

Confidence, perseverance, leadership and the ability to compete and beat the best are a few traits this esteemed institution has taught me. But above all I would be ever grateful for the ethics and value system it has inculcated in me that govern my practices. The person I am today be it my professional or personal self is thanks to SRU.

My leadership started with SRMC. My College has transformed me into a surgeon and an entrepreneur. Today it has made me go international and own a company worth 200cr.

The precept and experience in Sri Ramachandra University helped me to identify the niche of health and wellness. It helped a lot in building a holistic healthcare organization delivering best in class care. Also enabled me to solidify my vision and be a successful Entrepreneur in the health care space. A successful Healthcare Organization is not ramped up on money, it is built on good will of the people, we always believe in making more goodwill.

I have completed both my UG & PG in dermatology from Sri Ramachandra Medical College. I choose to work as a medical officer and pursue my post-graduation in SRMC as the patient exposure and the teaching skills of the professors are incomparable to many other colleges. Let’s not forget the diversity and our beautiful environment. Today I have a MD degree next to my name and successful in my profession because of the foundation Ramachandra has given.

Ramachandra gave me an opportunity to move with mentors who always insisting in creating a legacy than just survive. It gave me necessary education and confidence to establish my Cosmetic practice. Ramachandra has produced some extraordinary seniors who have been an inspiration to me always.

I take great honour and privilege in saying that I was an alumni of Sri Ramachandra Medical College. Now I am considered as one of the top most gynaecologists in Chennai and am able to run my very own successful hospital for women in the name of FIRM hospitals. I owe a lot to Sri Ramachandra Medical College and its faculty for creating and giving me the adequate skill of being a good gynaecologist and also imbibing the entrepreneurship from the institution.
