About the Department / Program
The Department of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology is a superspeciality department catering to the needs of ever growing patient population with Rheumatological ailments. Our department follows a principle that “teamwork never fails”. Our team led by Prof.S.Rajeswari has established a state of the art department dedicated to this superspeciality. Our vibrant, energetic and enthusiastic Rheumatologists focus on providing holistic care for Rheumatic diseases.
Our department includes state of the art immunology lab, dedicated physiotherapy, counseling and day care services. Patients with Rheumatological ailments are often misdiagnosed and mistreated due to lack of awareness amongst the general public and hence we have dedicated social worker to educate the patient in depth about the disease and clear the myths about the disease and treatment.
DM RHEUMATOLOGY (MCI APPROVED)
BOG in supersession of Medical Council of India has granted approval for the conduct of D.M. CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY & RHEUMATOLOGY with an annual intake of two seats from 2019. This makes SRMRC & RI the first private medical college in Tamilnadu to have this unique superspeciality programme and one of the very few centres in the country.
