About the Department / Program
The Department of Nephrology of SriRamachandraMedicalCollege and Research Institute, SriRamachandraUniversity established in the year 1995 is a premier centre for specialized nephrology care. It is one of the country’s leading dialysis and renal transplant centres.
In more than 20 years since its inception the department has grown steadily every year in terms of patients, procedures, staff and the facilities. During any given year, the physicians and staff of the Nephrology provide care and long term monitoring to more than 20,000 patients.
Since inception, the Department of Nephrology at Sri Ramachandra University has focused on constant improvement in various services. The department participates in an active renal transplant program, all modalities of dialysis care, and clinical research studies .
It has a MCI recognized 3 year DM postgraduate course. In addition it also has 4 year BSc. course in Dialysis Technology (Allied Health sciences) and recently 2 year course in MSc. Renal Sciences. And PhD students
