National Service Scheme (NSS)

Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University) has four NSS Units with total Volunteers strength of 381, drawn from the different faculties. It Implements the following programmes for the volunteers in the campus as well as for the community youth in the adopted villages, Karunakarachery, Annambedu, Annaikatuchery and Parywakam.

I.MEDICAL CAMPS AND HEALTH RELATED AWARENESS /TRAINING OR PROGRAMMES ON

• Maternal Health and Child Care
• Training on Basic Life Support Techniques
• Substance Abuse
• Know your Body Mass
• Hand washing

II.SWACHH BHARAT MISSION AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION PROGRAMMES

• No Plastic Village and Jal Shakti Village programme were organized by National Service Scheme (NSS) , Sri Ramachnadra Institute of Higher Education (DU) in it's four adopted Village. - view details
• Campaign for Open Defecation Free and Garbage Free Villages in Karunakarachery and Annambedu.
• Lake Restoration Programmes in Adhambakkam and Karasangkal Lakes.
