About the Department / Program
We are a premium institute involved in research, clinical service provision and academic and clinical teaching in the field of Speech Language Pathology in Chennai for the past 28 years. Speech Language Pathology services was initiated in 1995, and by 1998, the undergraduate degree program was officially recognized by RCI. The Department of Speech Language Pathology was recognized as an independent department under SRFASLP by the board of management of SRIHER (DU) last year. We have been at the forefront of clinical practice standards in the subspecialties of cleft lip and palate, voice, swallowing intervention in the neonatal critical care unit, and early child development.
