About the Department / Program
Audiological services have been provided in the hospital and the medical centre since 1995. The facility boasts state-of-the-art testing tools and infrastructure with highly qualified professionals registered with RCI. Around 20,000 individuals across the lifespan and with diverse hearing needs and issues seek solutions and expert guidance from our audiologists every year.
In the field of audiology, we have been actively engaged in academic and clinical teaching for professional development. We have played a pioneering role in establishing standards for clinical practice in niche areas such as community-based rehabilitation, telepractice, newborn hearing screening, vestibular disorders, cochlear implantation, and hearing aids. Several faculty members have been awarded prestigious academic and clinical fellowships such as the Fulbright Fellowship, CIGI Fellowship and other honours. Alumni who graduate as ASLP professionals are well-positioned nationally and internationally, pursuing higher education, and working in renowned clinical or academic centres across the world.
