Curriculum Development

  • Responsible for the curriculum Development activities of the Constituent Colleges of University and has created Education Units with the constituent UG and PG division.
  • Under his leadership Sri Ramachandra Medical College has put up an innovative Integrated Curriculum for the MBBS programme. He is the driving force for bringing in modern IT solutions to enhance education in the University.
  • Appointed as Chairman of Implementation & Monitoring Committee to scrutinize the data sent by Nodal Centres on eligibility of participants for award of FIME.
  • Nominated as a member of the Standing Expert Groupin Orthopaedics constituted by MCI.
  • Member – Expert Group for Faculty Development Program for PostgraduateTeachers of MCI
  • Member – Expert Group for Curriculum Implementation Support Program of MCI
  • Member - Expert Group for Monitoring UG curriculum of MCI


Faculty Development

  • Convenor, Nodal Centre for Medical Education Technologies, recognized by Medical Council of India, for conducting Basic and Advanced Faculty Development Programmes (Fellowship in Medical Education)
  • Coordinates the Faculty Development activities as prescribed by the Medical Council of India and bring in innovation in the conduct of such programmes.
  • Active resource person in the development of such modules.
  • Keeping in view the facilities and performance of the centre, MCI has granted permission to do the Fellowship in Medical Education (FIME) for 5 days.
  • Resource person both at our Nodal Centre and also at the Programmes conducted by colleges under the purview of Regional Centre recognized by Medical Council of India.
  • Possess skill, knowledge and aptitude to set up Educational Units for any organization and the FAIMER Fellowship has enabled him to build such skills.


Bioethics Unit of SRU of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics Haifatofulfill the objectives of stimulating, Teaching, Training and Research in Bioethics in Medical and Health Science Education – Jan 2017
