About the Department / Program
The Department of General Medicine is the largest department of Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research. The Department has 38 faculty members who are committed in applying the latest medical knowledge and technology to meet the needs of the patients. We deal with and excel in education, patient care and research.
Ours is a broad specialty which provides primary and tertiary health care for all medical problems like diabetes, infections, arthritis etc through outpatient, inpatient services, camps and Teleconsultancy.
Clinical Health Services
AMBULATORY CARE -
Outpatient services function on all 365 days including holidays. Functions from 8am to 4pm

EVENING CLINICS -
Functions from 4pm to 8pm, where committed consultants are available to provide basic and latest treatment.
EMERGENCIES -
Are covered 24x7 with well equipped Medical ICU and High Dependency Unit by highly committed doctors who work round the clock to provide the best care.

OUT REACH PROGRAMMES –
The department of medicine has regular In-station and Out station community camps. The department has adopted 4 villages. Our Extension activities aim at screening for various medical problems along with providing primary health care.

TELE CONSULTATIONS for various hospitals from NLC, Siliguri etc. on appointment basis
