About the Department / Program

Ramachandra School of Nursing was started on the 23rd July 1993 to conduct Diploma in Nursing program of three years duration with annual intake of twenty students.
The annual intake has been increased from 20 (Twenty) to 60 (sixty) students with the duration of 3 years 6 months since 2007-2008 onwards.
Ramachandra School of Nursing is recognized by Indian Nursing Council and Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives Council.
The academic activities of Ramachandra School of Nursing revolves on the study day system and the students appear for the Tamilnadu state government board examination for general nursing and midwifery in theory and practical examination.
The faculty position fulfills the requirement norms of the Indian Nursing Council.
