About the Department / Course
The Department of Pharmacology at Sri Ramachandra Medical college and Research Institute was established in the year 1986 with a floor area of 22,500 sq feet. The department is committed to high quality teaching of Pharmacology to undergraduate and postgraduate students from medical, dental and paramedical specialties. The constituent faculties of the department work enthusiastically with immense passion for teaching by dynamically involving in several academic activities such as small group teaching, case resolution, role play, communication skills, Quiz and integrated seminar for undergraduate students and journal club discussion, seminar and case presentation for post graduate students which serves beneficial to them. There are well equipped Air conditioned Lecture Halls and four Demonstration Rooms with high quality Audio Visual facilities. The department is research intensive with the involvement of faculties and full time PhD scholars contributing to medical research nationally and internationally in the diverse fields of nanomedicine, phytochemicals, ethnopharmacology, drug designing, human genetics and oncology. The departmental reference library, research and experimental lab are well equipped to support the research ventures along with computer systems with high speed internet facilities enabling quick access to latest updates and emerging trends in field of medicine.
