About the Department / Program
Housed in the college building the Department of Human Genetics bridge between academics, research and clinical service. The breathtaking advances in genetics continue to offer great prizes to those who can understand and apply the flood of data that they bring. Established in 1998, the department has grown in breadth and depth, encompassing the best of academics, research and diagnostics in the fast growing science of Genetics. The Department of Human Genetics is fully equipped with sophisticated instruments to cater the need of diverse research focus.
The genetics diagnostic facility at the Department of Human Genetics is accredited by NABL (National Accreditation Board for Laboratories) and conducts routine cytogenetic, molecular genetics and molecular cytogenetic (FISH) tests for patient care.
