Thrust areas for the department
Thrust area of the department encompasses of Neuropharmacology, Nano pharmacology, marine algae including synthesis of nanoparticles from the herbal formulations and synthetic compounds, analytical screening techniques for exploring anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, cyototoxic and xanthine oxidase inhibitory properties of drugs, In-Vitro Toxicological studies, Alternatives to animal experiments, computer assisted drug designing, evaluation of genetic polymorphisms related to drug toxicities. Projects are undertaken by faculties either independently or under their able guidance (UG/PG) students pursue several self-funded/fellowship projects. They are as follows
