About the Department / Program
The Department of Public health Dentistry forms the basis of dental health care services and holds the key for developing awareness about the social aspects of the profession and the responsibilities towards the community among all those who are engaged in this profession.
It also educates young professionals to facilitate - reinforcement of learning and acquisition of knowledge, achievement of basic dental skills, development of sound dental attitudes and habits, understanding of professional and ethical principles. Outreach programs/health camps are carried out, taking into consideration the specific needs of the target population.
We provide dental procedures like scaling and restorations in the OP, Peripheral centers and health camps. We provide guidance to the patients through our help desk, priority and guidance for elderly patients, tobacco cessation support clinic for the respective patients.
