Paediatric Nursing
About the Department / Program
Department of Pediatric Nursing is one among the six departments of Faculty of Nursing which study the care of neonates, children and adolescence in both the programmes of undergraduate and postgraduate Nursing students based on the Indian nursing council curriculum. The department actively participates in training the students to render service for the sick neonates, children and do research in the field of child health nursing. Well established air conditioned laboratory equipped with models, mannequins, instruments, and audio-visual aids facilitate teaching-learning process. E- Nursing process learning acts as a ready reckoner for the Nursing students in the clinical settings. Experienced Nursing faculty members with doctoral qualification are an added strength to the department. Our department offers value based course on neonatal Nursing.
VISION
The vision of department of pediatric nursing is to train the nursing students to provide high technology nursing care to the neonates, children and adolescents. Develop students with full pledged knowledge, skill and attitude in nursing education, administration and research through unified leadership.
Mission
Articulate nursing students to develop in-depth knowledge, skill and right attitude to function as neonatal and pediatric nurse to provide holistic nursing care to the sick and critically ill children at any given setting.
Prepare the students to conduct nursing research in the field of pediatric nursing.
Encourage the undergraduate and postgraduate students to be competent as nurse educator and administrator globally.
