Anatomy

About the Department / Program
The Department of Anatomy, Sri Ramachandra Medical college & Research Institute was established in the year 1985. The full fledged department of anatomy has highly experienced, capable and motivated faculty, state of art infrastructure and facilities to impart high quality, clinically relevant, contemporary education in an experiential learning environment.

In addition to traditional teaching methods like didactic lectures, seminars and hands-on dissections and practicals, the department endeavours to leverage emerging technologies to provide a blended learning experience to students. Highly engaging academic content in the form of lecture presentations, video lessons, multimedia animations, multiple choice quiz sections, question banks are available 24 X 7 X 365 to students via the dedicated MOODLE based learning management system on the e-governance portal.

As per the Competency Based Curriculum of the  Medical Council of India, in addition to imparting professional knowledge, the department also takes an active role in the development of students’ attitude towards the profession and communication skills via the Attitude and communication (ATCOM) modules.

As a part of NPTEL-Swayamprabha Project of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India, Anatomy Dept is the National Co-ordinating Dept for Video lectures in the subject of Anatomy. Teachers of Eminence in Anatomy from all over India and Abroad are invited to deliver video lectures which are recorded in the high-tech Swayamprabha AV studio located within the campus.
