Student Feedback System:
Every student provides a feedback (Offline/Online) about the course transaction and the course
instructor at the end of each academic year.
Faculty Satisfaction University portal offers an online faculty satisfaction form and is completed by every faculty each year.
Parent’s Teachers Meet :
Department level parent- teachers meet is scheduled every year for all undergraduate students in the month of November.
University level parent: teachers meet is scheduled every year for all undergraduate students in the month of February.

Disciplinary Guidelines:
The student manual and calendar have details regarding general disciplinary rules, dress
code, anti ragging instructions, restriction on use of cell phones, attendance and progress, and
rules for the hostel students.

❖ The educational process is not only hospital oriented and based on medical model but is
also community based and client centered.

❖ Skill based training: - The students are given hands on clinical training in the respective
departments. Students have excellent exposure to a wide range of clients in the department of Pediatrics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Rheumatology, Plastic surgery, Cardio -pulmonary, Neuro ICU, Neonatal ICU, Oncology, Mental Health, Geriatrics and Community center. In associated with Occupational Therapy department providing services with the specialized units of Child health, Mental Health, Cognitive perceptual unit, Play therapy, Sensory Integrative Therapy, Group Therapy, ADL Room, Hand Therapy, Splinting Unit, and with provision for advanced mobility training skills.

❖ During the 6 months of compulsory internship program the interns are trained to develop
clinical and professional skills to prepare them for the transition from student to becoming a
competent professional.

❖ During the regular clinical program they learn skills of using objective assessments,
documentation, report writing, taking responsibility for organizational and administrative
work in the respective treatment area. The students are involving more in skill based
training the Clinical Demonstration/ Practical sessions / Hands on training in the
supervision and proper guidance. In order to gain strong research base and scholarly
attitude interns are also required carrying out short project work and doing critical review of
articles from Journals.

❖ Adequate emphasis is placed on clinical reasoning and scientific thought processing,
clarity of expression and independence of judgment, ability to  collect  and  analyze
information and to correlate them. Classroom teaching is supplemented by active methods
related to lecture method, interactive method, project-based learning, computer-assisted
learning, experiential learning, seminars and micro teaching with demonstration and hands
on discussions during clinics and seminars to enable them to develop personality,
individuality and managerial skills to function either in solo practice or as a team leader
when he/she begins his/her independent career.

Co Curricular Activities/ Extra – Curricular Activities:
Occupational Therapy students are involving in various co curricular activities and also they are encouraged to participate in CME/Continuing Occupational Therapy Education (COTE), Workshops, Guest Lectures, International, National, and State level conferences are organized by the college and conducted by other institutions and organizations in and around the country. Participation in national conference of AIOTA (All India Occupational Therapist Association) is encouraged. Students participate in various competitions like paper presentation, poster presentations, model and street play conducted as part of the conference.

❖College of Occupational Therapy emphasizes on developing the talents and extra skills of the students. Students are encouraged to participate in inter collegiate sport and cultural meet in regular intervals. The students participates in the University Annual sports and cultural events & organizes various public awareness days like World Occupational Therapy Day, World Autism Day, World Mental Health Day etc., and an intra college cultural competition which provide a stage for the students to explore and enhance their talents.
