Infrastructure/Equipment:

The Department makes use of the research equipment available with the Central research facility of our University. In addition, the Department has a Periotron, a device used for measuring the volumes of gingival crevicular fluid and saliva, two crucial biological samples which are used for biomarker assays in periodontal disease diagnosis and management. The Department faculty have worked in co-ordination with other constituent departments of the University such as Human Genetics, Biotechnology, Pathology and Microbiology.
