Clinical focus
The department efficiently provides cytopathological and histopathological reports of oral and aboral structures for a variety of lesions such as premalignant and malignant lesions, soft tissue tumours, Odontogenic cysts and tumours. It also offers to diagnose oral counterpart of systemic lesions such as oral manifestations of blood dyscrasias, metabolic disorders and dermatological lesions.
The department also participates in the various camps undertaken in the University such as the Founder Chancellor’s Multi-speciality Treatment camp at Tiruchendhur and Rasipuram and the World Vision camp at Ponneri, Chennai.
