BASIC RESEARCH

  • Since diabetes plays a significant role for the increased incidence of coronary artery disease and acute coronary syndrome the following studies are undertaken.
  • To study efficacy and safety of Alternate medicine for diabetes mellitus and hypertension which are the two primary risk factors for coronary artery disease.
  • Preclinical evaluation of Madhumega choornam (MMC) to control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes both in-vivo & in-vitro study.
  • Preclinical evaluation of Venthamarai choir AM (VMC) to control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes both in-vivo & in-vitro study.
  • A clinical trial of MMC on randomly selected type 2 diabetes with moderate elevation of blood sugar.
  • Study to be started for comparative evaluation of Metformin and MMC in a double-blind randomized design.
