a) ICMR grants: 1.Development of a biological identification kit for clinical isolates of Malassezia species based on tween 40 based precipitate production observed on modified chromogenic agar and confirmation of the results by molecular biological analysis at a tertiary care center. 2.Utility of Molecular Sequence Analysis of the ITS rRNA region for the Identification of Medically Important Fusarium species from clinical isolates – An epidemiological tool. 3.Antifungal susceptibility of Malassezia species and MLST studies. 4.Grant of 30 Lakhs from ICMR Research Grant. b) Chancellor Grants 1.Speciation and characterization of dermatophytes from clinical specimens using novel markers. 2.Molecular Strain typing of Trichophyton rubrum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes clinical isolates, Isolation and characterization of Dipeptidyl Peptidase – 5 (DPP-V). 3.Grant of 5 Lakhs from IADVL Research Grant.
